  • The Involvement Centre

    The Involvement Centre is a peer-led group which offers a warm and welcoming place for people with mental health issues, their families and friends. The Centre offers and informal place for a cuppa, a chat, a laugh and lots more....The Centre is currently open Thursdays, 2pm to 4pm and Saturdays, 11am to 2pm.

    Volunteers are welcomed either to share a skill or help out in the Centre

  • Kilkenny Bereavement Support

    Kilkenny Bereavement Support, set up in 1989, is a group of trained volunteers who offer a free one-to-one support service to individuals of all ages who are bereaved and grieving. For those who have been bereaved by suicide, there is an additional optional six week healing programme. Bereaved people are met in a safe and confidential environment in Villa Maria.

  • GROW

    GROW is a Mental Health Organisation which helps people who have suffered or are suffering, from mental health problems. Members are helped to recover from all forms of mental breakdown, or indeed, to prevent such happening.

    Groups meetings take place on Tuesdays, 10am and Wednesdays, 8pm.

    A community centre for people affected by cancer. Supports include: free counselling, massage and reflexology, as well as numerous group activities. Specialised counselling for children, advice and information. Open Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm for drop-in support or by appointment.

  • Support Group

  • SOS

    SOS is a voluntary organisation supporting adults with a range of intellectual disabilities including mild moderate, severe and profound. SOS provides day services, respite and residential care. We are looking for families to provide short breaks in their home for adults from our services, nominal expenses are paid. We also need volunteers to accompany adults from our services on social and recreational activities, time commitment 2 to 3 hours, either weekly or fortnightly.

     

     

     

  • Samaritans

    Samaritans is a voluntary listening charity supporting people in all sorts of crisis that cause emotional upset. The service provides non-judgemental, confidential, emotional support to people experiencing distress or despair, including suicidal feelings. They are available 24hrs a day, 7 days a week and encourage people in need of support to get in touch.
