Kilkenny Special Olympics Club is a volunteer run organization which provides training in swimming, bocce and athletics for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Bocce training during the winter months, Tuesdays, 5.45pm to 6.45pm at St Canice's Hospital.

Athletic's training during the spring and summer months, Tuesdays, 5.45pm to 6.45pm at Scanlon Park. Swimming training, Wednesdays 4.15pm to 5.15pm at the Watershed.

Psychology Drop-in Clinic.  Drop-in, support to parents (please do not bring children along as it is not possible to see people when they are accompanied by children).  First and third Wednesday of each month, 9.30am to 12.30pm.  No appointment necessary.  We run a series of Workshops for parents.

The Kilkenny Branch of the Dyslexia Association is run by a voluntary committee consisting of parents of children attending the Workshop, in partnership with the Workshop Teaching Staff. It runs from September to May. The weekly after school Workshop is held on Fridays 5.30pm to 7.30pm in CBS Primary School, Stephen Street, Kilkenny.

We are a national parent-run organisation, offering support and information to other parents of children with special needs. We aim to help point parents in the right direction when looking for a local group or service and to provide parent-to-parent support in areas where there are none.

Enable Ireland Kilkenny is contracted by the Health Services Executive (HSE) to provide therapy services to children with a primary physical disability from 0 to 18 years ( or school-leaving age ) and day services to children, 0 to 6 years, with a range of disabilities. These include physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities.
