Child Welfare & Protection in Sport Training Course

This 'Child Welfare and Protection in Sport' training is a 3 hour basic awareness course, looking at how we can keep adults and young people safe and happy within the club environment. This course is open to sports leaders, coaches, parents, children's officers and other adults involved in the organisation of sport for young people.

Introduction to Trail Walking Workshop & Walk

National Trails Day, 2nd October 2011
An Introduction to Trail Walking workshop covering the benefits of trail walking, understanding different types of trails, planning your walking session, getting your gear right before setting off on a practical walking session lead by an experienced instructor. Workshop is aimed at people who have no experience of trail or hill walking who but have an interest in getting started. Attendees must be over 18 years of age.
11am-2pm Sunday 2nd October 2011 €5 The Discovery Park, Castlecomer
This workshop is being run by Trail Kilkenny, Kilkenny Recreation and Sports Partnership and the Health Promotion Department HSE South.

Ladies Gaelic Football Association FUNdamental's Coaching Course

FUNdamentals is a foundation level course designed as an introduction to good coaching, no matter what age group you are starting to coach with. Coaches will gain some insights into the theoretical underpinnings of successful coaching as well as having the opportunity to coach and learn in a safe environment.
