Set up in 1987 as a direct response to a need for an information source independent of Government Departments, the Noreside Resource Centre sources and provides information on any subject, although work is focused on Labour Law and Family Law matters, Tribunals and Appeals. The Centre is staffed by 15 workers on a Community Employment Scheme, and the services provided have expanded to include a number of educational courses.
Kilkenny Information Age provided computer equipment and internet access facilities to give long term unemployed access to the NSSB database
